We work together to provide personalized solutions tailored to your unique needs and objectives. Together, we can streamline the complexities of financial management, empowering you to make informed decisions with confidence.

On the personal side, Brent loves being a father to his four daughters. He also coaches and guides younger children in basketball and volleyball. Brent is active in his local church and loves spending time reading the classics, hiking in national parks, piano, golfing, gardening, cooking, volleyball and more recently he is getting tossed around (literally) in a self-defense class called Krav Maga. He also currently sits on the board of the Californian Young Artists Symphony.

Q & A

How do you like to stay active, if at all?

I love being physically active and I constantly am in movement. When I coach volleyball for the high school boys I love playing, Krav Maga, taking 6AM core strength classes, long hikes in mountains, golfing, and weight training.

What is your favorite book?

I have many favorite books and tend to read three at a time. I am currently reading Michael Connolly, Dante’s Purgatory, and a book of historical fiction on the life of Cicero. My favorite books of all time, Crime and Punishment, Dante’s Inferno, Team of Rivals on Abraham Lincoln

If you could time travel, where and when would you go?

If I could time travel I would go back to be a deckhand (or prefer a higher rank, that would be even better) with Captain Cook and sail into the fjords I Of New Zealand, then explore overland.

Q & A

What is your favorite season, and why?

My favorite season is fall. I love the cool, crisp air, the changing colors (even the little we see here in Southern California) and the start of the holiday season where friends and family get together.

Are there any traditions that you love that you and your loved ones have?

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday as I love being with my family and love the delicious smell of a turkey roasting and all of the side dishes that go along with it. One tradition we have is to go around the table and say what we are thankful for. Many times, it brings tears to our eyes as we realize how blessed we all are.

Do you have a favorite quote or saying that resonates with you?

My favorite quote is the scripture Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” I have leaned on this many times in my life and it gives me comfort.

Q & A

What is your favorite type of music?

I’m drawn to both jazz and orchestral music. As a trumpet and piano player, I’ve always admired the lyrical style of Chet Baker. At the same time, composers like John Williams show how music can tell a story and move people in powerful ways.

Do you have a favorite quote or saying that resonates with you?

“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.” – Yogi Berra. Without aim and vision, it’s easy to drift into places you never intended. That’s why I value identifying a clear goal and moving toward it. This is also what I enjoy most about financial planning, helping people set direction and take purposeful steps toward their future.

What is the best piece of advice you’d offer your younger self?

The best advice I would give my younger self is to assume the person you’re talking to knows something you don’t. That mindset has changed the way I approach conversations, shifting me from waiting to speak to genuinely listening. Everyone carries experiences and insights you haven’t lived yourself, and if you stay open, you can learn from each story. This perspective not only helps you grow personally, but also builds respect and trust in relationships. It is something I continue to carry into my work in financial planning, because listening well often reveals what truly matters to people.
